1996 Week 4
October 12, 1996
I had a good day watching College Football. I have one question though - How could Wisconsin expect to win two games when they had to split their team between Columbus and South Bend?? I think if they had both squads together in one stadium, they could have won either game.
And speaking of South Bend, Lou had better do something to start selling those empty seats. Two weeks in a row?? The OSU game was over two weeks ago. Their fans must get over that game. I even heard a rumor that Wendy Whoppers and Christy Canyon were on the side lines and they still couldn't sell tickets.
That reminds of the great Cal-Stanford game in 1943. Cal was concerned that their players weren't watching the sidelines for the play-calls from the coach. So they got Betty Grable to come to the game and stand next to the coach. Trouble was, the players started faking injuries so that they could come out of the game and stand next to Betty. Needless to say, Cal got trounced that day. I'm glad that ND puts saltpeter in their food.
Now, while watching the ND game, I couldn't believe it when I saw Lou Holtz on a Burger King ad. That's right, Burger King. Lou was selling hamburgers. And we all know that hamburgers are made of beef. And beef comes from cows. Since, cows are considered an unclean animal according to the Catholic religion and Catholics are not allowed to eat beef, how can Lou get away with this?? What's next for Lou, condom commercials?
Things have really gone down hill in South Bend.
