2005 Week 2
September 16, 2005
On Wednesday I had yet another one of my ESPN chat sessions.
Once again, the moderators changed some of my answers. So here are the actual answers to the questions I was asked.
Cyle (Harrisburg PA): Beeno, how long does Lloyd Carr continue to get a pass in Ann Arbor?
Beeno: Floyd will have a pass as long as the local bus company decides to let him ride around town for free.
Jeff Barnes (Boulder, Colorado): Do you think Penn State can give Michigan and Ohio State a run for their money?
Beeno: It would be fun to watch JoePa try to chase somebody and take their cash, but I just don't see that happening.
Peb (Dayton, VA): Beeno, what are the chances of Virginia Tech going to the Rose Bowl, even if they win all their games?
Beeno: I don't like Va Tech's chances of getting to the Rose Bowl because they have little chance of winning the Big 10.
Ken (Pineville, LA): Will Florida State's offense be improved enough by Saturday to beat Boston College on the road?
Beeno: I thought the hurricane didn't hit Doak Walker Stadium, so why would the Seminoles be playing their games on a highway?
Steve (Des Moines): Are the Iowa Hawkeyes the bust of '05 or can they rebound?
Beeno: My good friend Herb Street was talking about some intern at ESPN, something about playing Hackity Sack and how the sack rebounded off her bust then something about another sack.
I don't understand Herb at times.
Steven (Loma Linda, CA): Hey Beeno, what happens in this scenario, USC, Texas and an SEC team go undefeated this year. Who deserves to go the the national title game and who ends up going to the national title game?
Beeno: Penn State and Notre Dame.
Tina (North Platte, NE): Beeno, what do you think of Nebraska thus far this season or are you not thinking about them?
Beeno: I was thinking about Nebraska in a dream the other night, then I woke up and noticed that some drunk guy had dragged Ma down the stairs.
Steve (Atlanta): Beeno, I see a ton of talent at Ohio State.
Beeno: While AJ Hawkeye has put on a few pounds, I wouldn't say he weighs 2000 pounds.
Dan (San Jose): Beeno! Fresno beats Oregon this weekend. Oregon can't seem to get into the endzone and road games like this are old hat for Pat Hill's tough squad. Thoughts?
Beeno: My thoughts are that I'd better cut back on the bloody Marys.
Andrew (B'Ham, AL): Beeno, what do you think about the TIDE and South Carolina?
Beeno: I met up with this lady down in Charleston once, and all I can say is that you need something stronger than detergent to clean up the germs in that state.
Sean (Lafayette, LA): Beeno, what conference is the toughest in your opinion?
Beeno: Definitely the AFC.
Danny (San Francisco): Would the Pac-10 ever expand to the Pac-12 and maybe bring in a Boise St, Fresno State, or even a Colorado school?
Beeno: I don't even know why they call it the Pac-10 when everyone knows they have 11 teams.
SSgt Hood: Does Tennessee have the hardest schedule this year in your opinion?
Beeno: You'll have to direct your questions about the Oilers and other NFL teams to my good friend Joe Thiesman.
Dan (Minnesota): Beeno, what do YOU believe are the chances Notre Dame will ever join the Big 10?
Beeno: I believe that the Irish are rated #10 this week, so they're already in.
