2025 Week 15

December 7, 2025

Well we've now wrapped up the regular season and we can finally get to the most important part of the year: discussing the crucial Gasparilla Bowel matchup.

The weekend was filled with some good matchups. Kennesaw State, which I don't think was even playing football a few years ago, knocked off Jacksonville 19-15 on a last-second TD. Being held to 15 points by a random no name expansion state school is pretty embarrassing for an offense, I have to say I don't think Trevor Lawrence is ever gonna make it for the Jaguars.

Boyes' State pulled away late to beat UNLV 38-21 in the WAC title game. Meanwhile James Madison had little trouble with the Men of Troy to win the Southern Conference title and make it into the BS playoff.

Speaking of playoffs, Duke upset Virginia in the ACC title game, 27-20 in overtime. With that win Duke won the ACC but did not make the BS playoff nor did Virginia, instead they sent SEC South's Miami as the ACC representative even thought the Canes lost to Western Michigan in a game played in Detroit due to the weather. It's all pretty confusing.

Texas Tech and Bring 'Em Young decided to play another game and it went pretty much as the first one did, with the West Tejas guys plowing the visitors from Utah, 34-7. It's been a great year for the Red Rocket Raiders as they did a great job of spending to build their roster; they have a higher payroll than most of Nick Satan's Bama teams.

Speaking of the Crimson Tide, they had their own rematch against Georgia in the SEC title game and it didn't go well as the Bulldogs did a number on Coach DeBore's guys. Given the look on Uga's face when they showed him on the sideline, I'm guessing it was a #2.

The big game of the day was the showdown between Ohio State and Indiana in the Big Ten title game. The Hoosiers capped off a remarkable 13-0 regular season by upsetting the Huckeyes 13-10. I thought the IU D was meant to prevent conception, not scoring. Coach Cig's guys will now head to the Rose Bowel to play either Oklahoma or Alabama, which tells me that the Pac-8 expansion is getting out of control.

The best thing about all this is that we now know who is going to play around in the bowels. I'll be working on my annual bowel preview and look forward to sharing it with you soon!
